Position Summary

The Electrical Supervisor will act as support to the Project Manager and will be responsible for the day to day running of the project site; ensuring works are being completed safely, on time, to specification and schedule and within budget.

The position will also be responsible for overseeing and managing the Electrical onsite team, which includes related functions of onsite activities.

The suitable candidate will have:

  • Electricians Licence;
  • Degree in Project Management- desired;
  • Indentured trade qualifications;
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Construction industry;
  • Experience working on multi disciplined projects.

Duties and Responsibilities Include but are not limited to:

  • Supervision and management of electrical subcontractor in relation to all technical and quality related matters;
  • Generate technical queries and follow through to resolve;
  •  Manage field inspection checklists, inspection test plans and assist in MDR compilation;
  • Work in close conjunction with management team and project scheduler to streamline schedule and coordinate construction activities;
  • Conduct detailed pre-start meetings with work crew;
  • Assist with risk assessment for construction activities;
  • Assist with the preparation of work method statements;
  • Perform QA worksite inspections with client representatives;
  • Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements Perform other duties within the organisation that may be necessary to suit operational requirements;
  • Take responsibility for your own safety, uphold the Company OHS&E policies and participate in Company OHS&E initiatives.

Key Performance Indicators / Performance Metrics

  • Site maintained and construction activities conducted in a safe manner;
  • Works constructed in accordance with contract documents and achievement of agreed milestones;
  • Up to date and accurate QA inspections and completed checklists;
  • Helpful assistance with and identification of TQ’s, variations & delays;
  • Achievement of agreed milestones.

Core Competencies

  • Experience in the Construction Industry;
  • Ability to effectively prioritise and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment is crucial;
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with client, management, team members and site personnel;
  • Strong written and oral communication skills;
  • Accepting of direction from Project Management;
  • Understanding diversity within a project environment is essential.


  • Degree/Diploma/Certificate in Electrical Trade and /or Project Management;
  • Indentured trade qualifications;
  • 10+ years’ experience in the Construction industry;
  • Operating experience in mining and/or industrial plants;
  • High Risk Work Licence (Worksafe Certificate) (2008);
  • OHS Construction Induction Card;
  • Competent in the use of Microsoft applications;
  • AutoCAD or familiarity with various drawings software’s would be an advantage;
  • Experience in working with multiple discipline projects;
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Suite;
  • C Class License.
