Kerman Awarded Contract by Albemarle

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd (Kerman) announced today that they have been awarded a contract by Albemarle Lithium Pty Ltd (Albemarle) for the design and construction of the Pyromet and Final Product and Utility Buildings at Albemarle’s new Lithium Hydroxide Production Plant in Kemerton, Western Australia.

Design has commenced with construction due to start onsite in the first quarter of 2020.

Kerman Awarded $23M Contract at the Port of Bunbury

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd (Kerman) announced today that they have been awarded a
$23.5 million contract by Talison Lithium to construct a new bulk storage facility at the inner harbor of Port of Bunbury, WA. With the significant expansion of Talison’s mining facilities at Greenbushes in the South West, this new facility will supplement Talison’s existing storage facility at the Port. Construction works have recently commenced with an estimated completion in October 2019.

Kerman secures $30M Port Infrastructure Contract in NSW

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd is pleased to announce their award of a $30M contract for a new ship unloading facility for the Port of Newcastle in New South Wales.
This design & construction contract involves the demolition of two existing ship unloaders and associated conveyor structures to be replaced with a new high capacity ship unloader; new conveyor structures; associated wharf upgrades and electrical systems. The project is expected to be completed in December 2019.

Kerman Awarded $20M SMP Contract at Greenbushes

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd announced today that they have been awarded a
$20 million contract by MSP Engineering to carry out structural, mechanical, piping and electrical installation works for the Crushing Circuit at Talison Lithium’s Greenbushes Operations in Western Australia as part of the CGP2 project. Construction works are due to start in May with the estimated completion in December 2018.

Kerman awarded contract for Kwinana Fertiliser Blending Plant

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd (Kerman) has been awarded a Design & Construction contract to build a Fertiliser Blending Plant for CSBP Fertilisers Limited at their Kwinana operations.

Works associated with the project  include detailed engineering design, modifications to the existing building, civil and concrete works to accommodate new machinery, the supply, manufacture and installation of hoppers, belt  feeders, conveyors, elevator and articulated loading spout and includes all the associated electrical and control systems.

Expected completion of the project is late December 2017.

Design and Construct Contract at Tianqi’s Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant

Kerman Contracting has been awarded a Design and Construction contract by Tianqi and MSPE. The works are associated with a major product receival shed and by-product distribution (TAS) building at Tianqi’s new Lithium Hydroxide Processing Plant in Kwinana, WA. Specifically the works include the design development and construction of the Spodumene, Limestone and TAS  buildings superstructure to achieve a minimum design life of 25 years, including authorities’ approvals, roller doors, doors, bollards, barriers, electrical, communications, lighting, hydraulics (water and waste), security, mechanical ventilation and fire system plus modelling. Kerman anticipates completing the works in the first quarter of 2018.

This project builds on Kerman’s longstanding expertise in the design and construction of process plants and industrial infrastructure facilities across Australia.

$8.5M Contract for Fremantle Port Container Park

Kerman Contracting Pty Ltd (Kerman) has been awarded a Design & Construction project to build a container park for Australian Container Freight Services (ACFS) at their Rous Head Fremantle site. Works associated with the 6 Hectare site include detailed engineering design, bulk earthwork and drainage, heavy duty concrete and asphalt pavements, office, washbay, survey pad, repair bay, electrical power and site lighting, landscaping and site fencing.

This competitive tender awarded to Kerman will be the first it has undertaken for ACFS. It further cements Kerman’s drive to focus on non- resource related infrastructure and agriculture projects post the WA mining boom.

This project also continues one of Kerman’s core activities being the design & construction of key infrastructure projects at port locations around Australia.

Kerman Continues its Work at Sino

Kerman is continuing its long association with CITIC Pacific Mining Management (CPMM) on their Sino Iron Project in Karratha, Western Australia. Kerman is currently carrying out shutdown and general mechanical, piping and structural maintenance for all six Autogenous Grinding Mill Circuits (AG Mill).

Between July 2014 and December 2015, Kerman carried out the SMP construction of AG Mills lines 3 to 6. Since the completion of the SMP contract, Kerman have been providing maintenance services focussed around the AG Mill circuits. Over the past 15 months, Kerman’s maintenance team has steadily built up and now has numbers in excess of 130 personnel. Managing Director Chris Kerman added, “We have been on the Sino site for over five years and over this time have formed a strong relationship with CPMM’s senior management, construction and operations teams.  Kerman looks forward to continuing to support CPMM on this world class project.”

Kerman Awarded $6M Contract by Blue Lake Milling

Kerman Contracting has been awarded a Design and Construct project to build the Forrestfield Oat Mill for Blue Lake Milling Pty Ltd (a wholly owned subsidiary of the CBH Group) at its Metro Grain Centre in Forrestfield, Western Australia. The works include detailed engineering design, a new process building attached to an existing refurbished process building previously constructed by Kerman, a new warehouse, upgraded control room and offices, deconstruction of redundant structures and silos, provision of new silos and bins, provision of new container loading conveyors, revised site drainage and pavements. The award of this project continues a long standing and successful relationship between CBH and Kerman.
